“An interpretation of refined naturalness” – Davide Cornacchione reviews Ingrid Carbone’s second CD “Schubert: L’enchantement retrouvé”.
The one with the piano of Ingrid Carbone, who entered the crowded recording world with a discreet yet confident step, is an appointment that we are pleased to renew. In this second recording, the common thread is the Schubertian voice. The visionary and poignant one of the Impromptus D.899 and the Moments Musicaux D. 780, pages that flourished in the shadow of the more Sonatas, certainly more secluded but not for this reason “minor”. The listener who comes across it for the first time will find himself faced with a voice of refined, never naive, naturalness, capable of crossing the thousand shadows of these creatures without getting lost.
