Recognition from the USA to the Cosenza pianist Ingrid Carbone. The pianist, who is also a mathematics professor at the University of Calabria, won the bronze medal at the 2020 Global Music Awards for classical music, with a CD on Schubert “L’enchantement Retrouvé” published in 2020 by Da Vinci Classics, Japan. We interviewed her.
What is it concretely about and why is this recognition so important to you?
The Global Music Awards are a prestigious US award, born in 2011 in California. They are internationally known as a competition absolutely independent of market logic. The Jury’s criteria fill me with pride, also because I am the only Italian pianist awarded with a music CD.
