When Ingrid Carbone read the criteria of the Jury of the Global Music Awards, an international music competition established in California in 2011 and internationally recognized as a competition in total independence from market lines, she was very impressed:
“It’s a competition based on merit”
“We seek emotional communication, the ability to transcend, to make the listener experience something new and compelling. We want to be surprised and moved by what we hear. We want to be convinced that those we honor can truly move an audience.”
In addition, it is a competition that pays attention to women, who are always very present among the winners of all categories. Thus, being awarded with three medals at the Global Music Awards for her two CDs and for a live recording in the two editions of the competition fills Carbone with pride, especially because in the March edition she was the only Italian pianist awarded, and in the December edition she was the only classical musician awarded for two different works.
