The pianist from Cosenza Ingrid Carbone was the winner in the important Global Music Awards musical competition established in California and in total independence from the dominant market lines. It is a competition based on merit, very attentive to the presence of women. In fact, there are numerous women awarded in the competition categories. The well-known pianist received two medals for two recent recordings – records also reviewed in the pages of our newspaper -, and also a medal for a successful live recording. The valid CDs, published by Da Vinci Classics, are dedicated to music by Schubert and Liszt, authors in tune with the strong artistic temperament of the performer. We can only congratulate Ingrid Carbone, a performer who once again highlights the talented Italian piano school in the broader international context.
