Why talk about music? Is music really essential? The beauty and importance of the place where music is made so relevant? Here are just some of the questions that many will surely have already asked themselves while reading the title of this short speech of mine. I’ll try to answer my best.

Precisely in the spirit of paying as much attention as possible to the places in which I play, the concert in Budapest was entirely dedicated to Liszt, their national glory, while my first CD dedicated entirely to Liszt contains the “Leggenda di San Francesco da Paola walking on the waves”.

I intended, with this piece of extraordinary beauty, to pay homage to my territory not only by performing it in Calabria, but also in Italy and abroad, where it was much appreciated, also because it was a piece rarely performed due to its technical complexity and expressive.
