Claudio Bolzani reviews Ingrid Carbone’s second CD “Schubert: L’enchantement retrouvé” on Musica Magazine.
The pianist Ingrid Carbone wanted to face these risks, delivering a very respectable interpretation, even if not one that stands out for its absolute originality: the respect for the text is almost absolute, every dynamic sign, every minimal nuance are fully grasped, the the phrasing is airy, the sound very refined (it is no coincidence that the soloist opted for a Bechstein piano, particularly suitable for this repertoire), as is the pedaling.
