Ingrid Carbone, an extraordinary Calabrese interpreter, gives back to the composer Leoncavallo the right visibility also for his piano works, known mostly for the opera “Pagliacci”, and also to give visibility to Calabria through a composer who, born in Naples, spent his childhood and youth in Montalto Uffugo.
The piece is taken from the double CD on Ruggiero Leoncavallo, published by Da Vinci in 2022, which contains all 36 pieces (which have come down to us) that Leoncavallo wrote for piano. This CD received a nomination at the International Classical Music Awards 2023 as one of the best CDs in the world released in 2022, and two silver medals from the USA at the international competition Global Music Awards 2022
