From Friday, May 15, to Sunday, May 17, 2026, Piano City Milano returns for its sixteenth edition, filling every corner of the Lombard capital with piano music—from parks and courtyards to public squares and private homes opening their doors for the occasion, as well as numerous unusual and previously unseen spaces unveiled during the festival.

Promoted and produced by the Associazione Piano City Milano in collaboration with the Municipality of Milan, and directed by Ricciarda Belgiojoso and Titti Santini, Piano City brings Milan to life with over 250 concerts across the city and beyond, featuring more than 250 Italian and international artists and over 140 venues.

As a special event during Piano City Milano 2026, the Porta Genova Station reopens for a final farewell before closing for redevelopment: on Saturday, May 16 at 5:00 PM, the space transforms into a stage hosting the electronic music of Andor Sanderson. That same day, the new premises of CASVA (Center for Advanced Studies on Visual Arts) at the former QT8 district market will host a series of piano lessons and concerts, beginning at 10:30 AM with Ingrid Carbone and *L’universo femminile tra Schubert, Liszt e Leoncavallo* (The Female Universe: Schubert, Liszt, and Leoncavallo); continuing at 12:00 PM with Emanuele Ferrari and *Tra estro e passione: Brahms* (Between Inspiration and Passion: Brahms) and at 1:30 PM with Alberto Forino’s improvisations in *Holdin Egos*; at 3:00 PM, Jorge Juárez Alvarez rediscovers Giulio Ricordi with *Ricordi di Milano* (Memories of Milan), while at 4:30 PM, Véronique Vanhoucke concludes the day with the music of painter James Ensor in *Ensor on the Beach*. At 4:00 PM, Case Nuove – Spazio Verde hosts young talents from the San Siro district, followed by concerts for two pianos dedicated to 20th-century music—ranging from Japan to South America—at 6:00 PM with the piano duo Sugiko Chinen & Luca Arnaldo Maria Colombo, and to the Iberian tradition at 8:00 PM with the piano duo Valero-Rodríguez.
