Pianist, mathematician, and music and culture communicator Ingrid Carbone returns to Italy in April with two events centered around music and mathematics. The first event, entitled “INVISIBLE ARCHITECTURES OF MUSICAL TEXT: THE MATHEMATICAL METHOD IN INTERPRETATIONAL CHOICES,” will be held on April 10th (11:55 a.m.) at Palazzo Chimirri in Serra San Bruno (Via Chimirri, 23, Vibo Valentia), as part of the National Congress of MATHESIS (Italian Society of Mathematical and Physical Sciences). The second event, “MUSIC AND MATHEMATICS: THE RIGOR THAT REVEALS THE MYSTERIES OF INTERPRETATION,” will take place on April 17th (3:00 p.m.) in the Carini Dainotti Conference Room of the Cremona State Library (Via Ugolani Dati, 4), during the Music and Intelligence Conference.

On April 10th in Serra San Bruno, as part of the MATHESIS National Congress, the pianist, mathematician, and music and culture communicator will demonstrate how the mathematical method can become a practical tool for reading and interpreting a score, helping to highlight structures, balances, and relationships within music. Reflecting the profound connection between mathematics and music, the lecture will guide the audience in a reflection on how logic, structure, and creativity can interact, offering a direct and personal insight into the interpretative process.
