Here’s a translated excerpt.

In the heart of Amman, amidst the golden lights gliding over the hills and the ancient breath of the desert, Ingrid Carbone’s piano narrated Italy. Not just the Italy of music, but of thought, dialogue, and the harmony hidden between art forms and the laws of nature.

Invited by the Italian Embassy in Jordan and the National Conservatory of Music, the Calabrian pianist, mathematician, and music educator was the protagonist, from October 6th to 9th, of a three-day masterclass and a special concert, “Italian Composers,” at the King Hussein Cultural Center: a sonic journey through the most illustrious pages of the Italian tradition, from Domenico Scarlatti to 20th-century composers, experienced as a cultural bridge between the Mediterranean and the Middle East.

“Returning to Jordan is a great honor for me,” says Carbone. “This second invitation from the Embassy, combined with the warm welcome from the Conservatory, makes the experience even more meaningful. Performing in the Middle East is always a profound emotion: it’s a land I love and to which I feel deeply connected.”

His words reveal the most authentic aspect of his journey: that invisible connection between mathematics and music, between rationality and emotion, which makes his art both an intellectual and emotional experience.

Because Ingrid Carbone is not only an award-winning pianist, with internationally acclaimed recordings and accolades such as two International Classical Music Awards (ICMA) nominations and eight Global Music Awards. She is also a professor of Mathematical Analysis at the University of Calabria, a researcher, and a communicator, capable of bringing the language of numbers into dialogue with that of emotions.

Her most original project, the “concert-conversations,” stems precisely from this dual spirit: performances that blend music, storytelling, and science, guiding the audience in a conscious and shared listening experience. A method that has already won over audiences in Europe, Canada, Mexico, Asia, and the Middle East.
