Here’s an excerpt.
Ingrid Carbone, pianist, mathematician, and music and culture communicator, will be the protagonist of a special Piano Lesson titled “The Feminine Universe Through the Notes of Schubert, Liszt, and Leoncavallo” on May 16th in Milan during Piano City Milano. The lecture, free to attend until capacity is reached, will be held at 10:30 a.m. at CASVA – Center for Advanced Studies in the Visual Arts.
This unique event is presented as a “concert-conversation,” a format conceived by Ingrid Carbone that integrates musical performance and cultural exploration, alternating piano performance and cultural outreach. Carbone will lead the audience through a sonic and emotional narrative dedicated to the feminine universe, offering the inspirations of Ruggiero Leoncavallo and Franz Schubert, the latter through Franz Liszt’s famous piano transcriptions.
During the lesson, the artist will offer an experience that intertwines the emotional dimension and analytical awareness, demonstrating how the structure of mathematical thought can provide a valuable key to fully understanding musical expressiveness and the architecture of a composition.
