Here’s a translated excerpt.

On July 9 at 5:45 PM, at the Pescara Conservatory (Viale Leopoldo Muzii, 5), pianist, mathematician, and music/culture communicator Ingrid Carbone will headline the session “Music and Statistics: Interpretation Between Data and Choices.” This event is part of the initiative “Between Data and Graphs: Discovering Reality Through Statistics in Schools,” organized by ISTAT (National Institute of Statistics) and MATHESIS Nazionale (Italian Society of Mathematical and Physical Sciences). Attendance is reserved for participants of the Summer School on Statistics.

The 6th edition of the Summer School on Statistics, taking place in Pescara from July 8 to 10, targets teachers and educators, aiming to provide them with educational tools designed to foster a culture of informed data awareness from the earliest stages of schooling.

For this occasion, Ingrid Carbone will present a lecture-concert featuring works by Domenico Scarlatti and Ruggero Leoncavallo. The performance explores the connection between statistics and music, drawing upon the intersection of academic research in mathematical analysis and the international concert career that define her professional path.
