Pianist, mathematician, and music and culture communicator Ingrid Carbone is in her final days at a series of events in Amman, Jordan. Carbone is leading a masterclass at the National Conservatory of Music and a special concert, “Italian Composers,” with musician Marco Morrone, at the King Hussein Cultural Center Theater. This three-day intensive training program, which began on October 6th, is dedicated to exploring the piano and chamber music repertoire of Italian composers, with a focus on interpretation, stylistic analysis, and the historical contextualization of the works.
Today, October 8th, at 6:30 pm, the masterclass participants will perform a performance to share the artistic achievements of the study days. On Thursday, October 9th, at 7:30 pm, the special “Italian Composers” concert will take place. For the occasion, Ingrid Carbone will perform a rich piano repertoire, enriched by the compositions of Domenico Scarlatti, a key figure in the international music scene. The project, organized by the Italian Embassy in collaboration with the King Hussein Foundation’s National Music Conservatory in Amman, aims to promote Italian musical culture in the Middle East and strengthen intercultural dialogue through training, while also nurturing young local talent.
